At our year-end, final assembly, our student choir followed the opening prayer with a beautiful hymn, after which we recognized a variety of student achievement and participation throughout the school year, including our SK and Gr. 8 grads. Pictured are the Primary students who made their First Confession and Communion and the Intermediate students who made their Sacrament of Confirmation. Thank you to Catholic School Parent Council for providing each of the sacramental students with a beautiful and meaningful keepsake!

Impressive young Christian author Xavien Hill stopped in to Assumption this afternoon to read his recently published book, “Brave Waves: Choosing Faith Over Fear” (available on amazon.ca) to our Primary students. The story encourages us, especially young people, to face our fears with our faith in God to help us. What an inspiring message for students from one of their peers! Way to go, Xavien Hill !!

Last week’s DanceFest Family event was a hit during both the matinee performance and the outdoor evening performance, with the added bonus of free treats, courtesy of Triplet Treats and our Catholic School Parent Council! Such talented and enthusiastic students we have!! 🕺💃🙏🏻🎉

CONGRATULATIONS to our 2026 grade 8 graduates, with whom we got to celebrate a wonderful year with Mass at OLOS, followed by their Diploma and Awards ceremony last evening. We wish them all the very best as they continue their life journeys into high school and beyond. Our student athletes participated in the Hans Janssen Memorial Track and Field Meet on Thursday, having a wonderful day of competition and camaraderie! Thank you to the Aylmer Optimist Club for once again hosting their Bike Rodeo for local schools’ Primary students, and for providing lunch to all participants and donating two new bicycles and helmets to give to students. This year’s draw winners are pictured here with the bikes!

Led by the esteemed Mrs. David, students in our four most senior classes performed their Spring Bells Concert for the school and family guests this week. We are blessed to be able to present this unique musical opportunity for our students, thanks to Mrs. David and the generosity of the Knights of Columbus Aylmer Council 4189, who donate funds for the upkeep and preservation of the instruments. Thank you!!

We recently welcomed the Crusader “Class of 2036” and their families to Orientation. September 2026’s newest students got to play in a Kindergarten classroom and ride a big yellow school bus for the first time! We look forward to welcoming our new students and families again after summer break!
