Reading Challenge - September 21-25, 2026

The reading challenge is a week that each classroom will be counting how many books they read throughout the week!

This includes any books that families read at home. Every time you read a book with your child it counts. It could be that you read a different book every time or you read the same book every day of the week, every time you read a book it counts as one.

Reading to children on a regular basis helps to build so many different skills.

Here are just a few:
-Builds the understanding that print contains meaning
-Builds language skills - vocabulary
-Noticizing story patterns - beginning, middle, end, repeating words

We will be tracking our reading process throughout the week by the cars on the wall by the office!

Happy reading everyone! 🥳
