The deadline date for applications is June 26, 2026. Please ensure your applications are fully completed which includes the Northwestern Polytechnic Application, Application for Submission Form, Resume, and Statement of Interest Questions.

As part of the selection process, all applicants are required to participate in a Nation-Led interview process to ensure program suitability and learner readiness.

To participate in this cohort, you must be a Whitefish Lake First Nation #459 member, to register and submit your applications, please send it to [email protected]

For the members who are doing the Pre-Social Work Pathway, you will also need to apply.

Atikameg Child & Family Services would like to congratulate all the Whitefish Lake First Nation #459 learners that participated and successfully completed the Alberta Basic Security Training in partnership with the Security Centre Limited. It was a fantastic session for the learners, they are now prepared to continue or begin successful careers in security.

On June 2, 2026, the Whitefish Lake First Nation 459 Leadership met with Johnston Builders to sign a historic agreement to build the Atikameg Family Preservation & Protection Services (FPPS) Building. The Atikameg Family Preservation & Protection Services (FPPS) Building will house two Reunification Homes (west portion of building) and the Atikameg Child & Family Services Emergency Children’s Lodge (East portion of building). Construction will begin Summer 2026.
