In order to keep your AU accounts safe, you will be receiving emails notifying you that multi-factor authentication (MFA) is being activated on your Microsoft accounts—including Microsoft Office 365 and Brightspace.
Once you're notified of the implementation, you will be asked to "authenticate" when logging in to your AU account or any application using Microsoft 365—either via email or passkey (i.e. Microsoft Authenticator app, the use of a device’s unlock mechanism like face, fingerprint or PIN, or device or synced security keys unique to your system).

Two new updates have been made to ProctorU, AU's approved remote exam invigilator!
1) When scheduling invigilation appointments, ProctorU's site now provides an estimated fee in local currency—allowing students to better estimate the cost of ProctorU services before finalizing payment.
2) ProctorU has also launched the "Test it Out 2.0" update to their equipment-testing tool. Students will follow the same links and steps as before, but the updated tool delivers new features:
➡️ Clear results with guided next steps
➡️ Unlimited re-runs until all checks pass
➡️ Faster issue resolution and fewer tech-related delays
➡️ Improvements to the test runs for camera, mic, and speaker feeds, video and audio streaming, and proctor connection.
Using ProctorU for online exams
ProctorU is a third-party service that hosts AU online invigilation services. If your exam is available to write online, it's a great option for you!
