Today, we celebrate our wonderfully diverse school community at St. John XXIII, where every single person is created in the image and likeness of God. As we begin the Novena to the Sacred Heart, we are reminded of how wide, deep, and inclusive Christ’s love is for each of us. Every colour belongs, and everyone belongs in His heart! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Today marks the official beginning of our Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus ❤️

We start this holy journey by focusing on the core foundation of our faith: our call to love.
Jesus reminds us that the pathway to holiness is paved with love—both for God and for the people around us. When we look to the Sacred Heart, we see the perfect example of how to live out this dual calling every single day.

You call us to love God and love our neighbour as we journey the pathway to holiness. (Mark 12: 28-31)

🙏 Preparing Our Hearts: Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
On this day, before our Novena officially begins, we turn our hearts toward Psalm 123. This psalm reminds us of how we should always look to God, with complete trust in His endless mercy.
Over the next nine days, our prayers will focus entirely on the Sacred Heart of Jesus, remembering His immense, unwavering love for each of us. Even when our hearts are worried, weary, or troubled, we can rest safely in God’s love because we have seen the ultimate reflection of it in His Son, Jesus.
Join us in quiet reflection today as we prepare our minds and souls for this journey of faith.
