Happy Spring Equinox!
I could not imagine a more meaningful place and space to be today, welcoming Spring. I was invited by my dear friend and colleague Anita Tenasco to speak on the First Peoples Panel at Algonquin College, addressing Michif-based post-secondary education and supports needed for Michif students so that they are reflected and represented the second they enter these doors and spaces.
It was a lovely conversation (one that will be ongoing) and I’m grateful to have met everyone I did today!

Yesterday, I was invited by my wonderful colleague and friend, Anita Tenasco who is the Director of Indigenous Initiatives at Algonquin College to speak with their Board of Governors. Our conversations centralized on the importance of relationships and actioning commitments of what the survivors gifted to us all; the 94 Calls to Action.
Students, at all ages, deserve to feel and know that they matter. I am hopeful for what the board will commit to for their new and continuing plans of Indigenization and responding to the Calls to Action in community-based ways.
Maarsii so much for having me. ♾️

Sending so much love and good medicine to the family of Murray Sinclair.
His words, dedication, and unwavering truth have and will always guide me alongside others living in Canada on how reconciliation can be actioned and how our truths can be honoured.
It’s his crucial words that has inspired and continues to motivate me in the work I do. “Education is what got us into this mess and education is key to getting us out of it.” I will continue to bear the weight of this responsibility, and I know many of you will too, always in a good way.
All my relations.
