🧡 Reflecting and Learning Together 🧡

Ardmore School spent today reflecting, listening, and actively taking part in reconciliation.

From meaningful classroom, discussions and stories to wearing orange shirts in unity, we spent the day reflecting on indigenous histories, honouring residential school survivors, and their families, and taking active steps towards reconciliation.

Thank you to everyone who wore orange and participated today. Your support helps teach our students what respect, listening, and reconciliation looks like in action.

Our Colour Run today was a huge success! Thanks to the fantastic support of our amazing community, we have raised over $1,800 so far for the Scott MacDonald Memorial Fund to help raise money for kids fighting cancer! 🏃‍♂️💨🌈

A massive shoutout and thank you to everyone who made today so special:

🦄 Mrs. Charles, for being such a great sport in the student-chosen unicorn costume!

🏈 TEAMING UP FOR A GREAT CAUSE! 🏈

Ardmore School is proud to raise money for the Scott MacDonald Fundraiser happening on October 3rd!

Scott was a proud Bonnyville Voyageur Football alumnus who was diagnosed with cancer shortly after graduating high school and passed away on July 11, 2010, at just 19 years old. In his memory, a legacy fund was created to bring hope, comfort, and financial assistance to families facing similar battles. All funds raised through Ardmore School’s event will go directly toward helping local children in our region who are battling cancer.

🎯 THE PRINCIPAL CHALLENGE

We’ve set a goal to raise $1,000, and we need your help to get there! To make things even more exciting, our Principal, Mrs. Charles, has agreed to a special challenge:

🏃‍♂️ Hit $1,000 by September 18th: Mrs. Charles will wear a silly costume during our Cancer Run!

📚 Hit $1,000 by September 29th: Mrs. Charles will wear a silly costume all day while teaching!

💛 HOW TO DONATE

Pledge forms have officially been sent home with students! Cash or cheque donations and completed forms can be turned in to:

✏️ Your student's teacher

🏢 The main school office

Let’s come together as a community to support local families in need and put Mrs. Charles in a silly costume! Thank you for your generosity, community spirit, and support for this incredible cause.
