We hope that everyone that attended ACI since it opened in 1961 will be able to join us from June 29th to July 1st, 2012 to celebrate. Even if you attended for one year or even part of a year – we want you to come. The whole town is planning to roll out the red carpet and a very keen committee of alumni are planning a wonderful three days you won’t want to miss! And we don’t want to miss anyone! Please help us spread the word by contacting all your schoolmates and encouraging them to attend and send us their contact information. Although we are still working out all the details, some of the things we are considering include:
• Three (!!) welcome evening events including registration on Friday with a tour and reception at the School including a memorabilia and memory wall; tours and refreshments at the Multicultural Heritage Village; a live band and dance on the bank of the Icelandic River (put on by the Fire Department);
• Saturday events being considered include more school tours and a chance to look at the memorabilia and memory wall; food/refreshments and souvenir tent; volleyball tournament; afternoon stage show featuring local entertainment from the past and now; evening dinner and dances with three great bands covering different musical eras.
• Sunday Slo-pitch tournament; stage show; children’s activities. As events and activities are confirmed and new plans are made we will be updating the website including registration details. Check back often for more information about the reunion, accommodation suggestions and more!!
