✨ Slight change of plans for today! My little guy has the sniffles, likely teething related, but it's not pretty. Rather than risk getting anyone sick, we'll just move our in-person meeting to Zoom. Pm me for the link!

Apologies for the inconvenience...

Colostrum gives your baby immunity to the germs that are in the surrounding environment. It is protective, coating the intestines to fence these germs out so they cannot be absorbed into your baby’s system.

Did you nurse any of your little one’s toys?

Often nursing toddlers will want their favourite toys nursed!

What is the funniest toys have you 'nursed'?

βœ”οΈFeeding a baby

❌ Feeding a clock

Babies nurse at all sorts of times for various lengths of time! If you’re unsure and have some questions about your feeding journey, please reach out πŸ™‚

Babies have their own feeding patterns. Some feed at regular intervals. Others feed very irregularly. Some babies cluster feed. This means they nurse very often for a few hours and then sleep for several hours. A good milk supply is established by following your baby’s feeding cues, not scheduling feedings. Cues may include licking lips, restlessness, rooting (turning head towards breast) or mouthing hands. Crying is a late hunger cue. Typically 8 to 12 feeds or more within 24 hour is expected.

*Also big thank you to LLLC Group Mom Heather for breastfeeding a clock and her baby for this post!*

Help us spread the word! πŸ“£

We are excited to announce that we will be resuming our monthly meetings! (and I mean REALLY excited!)

We will alternate between virtual meetings (via Zoom) and in-person meetings at one of our Leader's home in Pomquet. This will hopefully help us accommodate more needs in our community, but know that you can always call or email us for individual support outside of those meeting times.

Our first meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 8th at 10:00am via Zoom. Please send us an email or PM for login details!
