Islamic Atmosphere
-Morning assembly with dua' and Quran recitation
-Daily congregational Dhuhr prayer in the school's musallah
-Weekly Juma prayer with Khutbah
- Comprehensive Arabic & Islamic Studies curriculum (Pre-K - Gr. 8) encompassing: Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Ibaadat, Islamic history, Prophets, Seerah, Akhlaq, Adab, and Du'as
-Arabic language program designed to ensure that students are able to read and understand the Holy Quran by the time they graduate. Tahfiz ul-Qur'an classes with Sh. Mohamed Mahmoud (Imam at WIA Mosque) are held Monday - Thursday, from 8:00am - 9:00am. This program is voluntary for any interested children/families, and does not interfere with the regular school day. Children registered in this program complete the regular Ontario Curriculum while they also work towards memorizing the Qur'an. Integrated Montessori
In the 2011/2012 school year, ANPS began successfully integrating Montessori concepts into our Pre-School, Kindergarten, and early grades carricula. The aim of this ongoing project has been to provide a broader learning experience by incorporating Montessori theory and teaching methods while maintaining both the critical early years skills and learning objectives of the Ontario curriculum, as well as our foundational Islamic and Arabic components. -Monthly book clubs and book fairs
-Arabic as a second language (from Pre-K) and French as a third language (from Gr. 4)
-Arabic Bridging Program to assist the transitioning of new students who've had limited or no prior exposure to the language

-Annual EQAO Provincial Testing for Grades 3 & 6 (ANPS students consistently exceed the Ontario average)
-Polar Expressions Writing Contest (nearly 100 published entries)
-Young Writers (more than 200 published entries)
-Arabic and English speech competitions
-The Windsor Regional Science Fair (one of the top performing schools year after year, and repeat winners of the "university of Windsor Faculty of Education Excellence Award")
-CBC Art Contest and in-school art fair
-CanSpell Spelling Bee (finishing in the top 10 since 2008)
-Mathematics contests (since 2008)

ANPS takes pride in supporting our local community through programs such as:
-The Heart & Stroke Foundation's annual "Jump Rope for Heart" fundraiser
-Kids Alliance (Grades 7-8) - committed to strengthening the community's youth and recognizing their contribution to building a stronger community
-The Windsor Muslim community's annual Winter Coat Drive
-The Values, Influences, and Peers (VIP) program (Gr. 6) - taught by an educator and a police officer; reinforces responsible citizenship, positive social behavior, and community values
-"Clean Sweep" neighborhood clean-up
-Tree planting in-school and at Malden Park

The experience of students at ANPS eases the transition into the secondary school of their choice. Upon graduation, our students are equipped with the academic skills necessary to lead them onto successful career tracks and instilled with Islamic tarbiya to keep them on the straight path.
