Islamic Atmosphere
-Morning assembly with dua' and Quran recitation
-Daily congregational Dhuhr prayer in the school's musallah
-Weekly Juma prayer with Khutbah
- Comprehensive Arabic & Islamic Studies curriculum (Pre-K - Gr. 8) encompassing: Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Ibaadat, Islamic history, Prophets, Seerah, Akhlaq, Adab, and Du'as
-Arabic language program designed to ensure that students are able to read and understand the Holy Quran by the time they graduate. Tahfiz ul-Qur'an classes with Sh. Mohamed Mahmoud (Imam at WIA Mosque) are held Monday - Thursday, from 8:00am - 9:00am. This program is voluntary for any interested children/families, and does not interfere with the regular school day. Children registered in this program complete the regular Ontario Curriculum while they also work towards memorizing the Qur'an. Integrated Montessori
In the 2011/2012 school year, ANPS began successfully integrating Montessori concepts into our Pre-School, Kindergarten, and early grades carricula. The aim of this ongoing project has been to provide a broader learning experience by incorporating Montessori theory and teaching methods while maintaining both the critical early years skills and learning objectives of the Ontario curriculum, as well as our foundational Islamic and Arabic components. -The Heart & Stroke Foundation's annual "Jump Rope for Heart" fundraiser
-Kids Alliance (Grades 7-8) - committed to strengthening the community's youth and recognizing their contribution to building a stronger community
-The Windsor Muslim community's annual Winter Coat Drive
-The Values, Influences, and Peers (VIP) program (Gr. 6) - taught by an educator and a police officer; reinforces responsible citizenship, positive social behavior, and community values
