As part of our STEM Day, the Senior group explored a variety of hands-on activities, including creating holograms with Magna-Tiles, completing a team cup-stacking challenge, building structures with marshmallows and toothpicks, investigating wind power with pinwheels and origami rockets, and observing exciting chemical reactions. It was a day full of creativity, teamwork, and discovery! ππ¬π§ͺβ¨
This afternoon, the juniors were divided into teams and decided on a fun challenge: Boys vs. Girls! Each team had 10 minutes to work together and create an obstacle course for the opposite team to complete. There was plenty of brainstorming, creativity, and excitement as the children designed their courses. It was wonderful to see such strong teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving skills on display throughout the activity. The children had a fantastic time testing each other's obstacle courses and cheering one another oπ€ΈββοΈπββοΈπ
π§ͺβοΈ Science fun in the Junior Room this afternoon! βοΈπ§ͺ
Today, our juniors explored a fascinating science experiment. We filled a plastic zip-top bag ΒΎ full of water and carefully pushed sharpened pencils straight through the bag. The children were amazed to discover that the bag didn't pop, even as we added more pencils! This hands-on activity encouraged curiosity, prediction, and observation while introducing the children to some exciting scientific concepts. Our junior scientists had a wonderful time experimenting and learning together! π©βπ¬π§β¨

β½οΈπβ½οΈOur Junior School-Age group kicked off the day with a fun and energetic game of soccer this morning! The children showed great teamwork, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm as they ran, passed, and scored their way through an exciting match. To make things even more fun, Miss Desiree, Miss Lily, and Miss Emma joined in on the action! What started as a friendly game quickly turned into a playful and slightly competitive match between the students and the teachers. There were lots of laughs, cheering, and great moments shared by everyone involved. We love seeing the children stay active, build friendships, and create wonderful memories through activities like these. It was a fantastic way to start the day!β½οΈπβ½οΈ

βοΈβ¨ STEM Day Fun in the Junior School-Age Room! β¨βοΈ
Today, our Junior School-Age group had a wonderful time celebrating STEM Day by making Cloud Dough! This hands-on activity encouraged children to explore, through sensory play.The children loved mixing the ingredients and discovering the soft, moldable texture of the cloud dough. There were plenty of smiles, creativity, and excitement throughout the activity, making it a fantastic addition to our PA Day STEM programming. We had so much fun learning, exploring, and creating together!πβοΈπβοΈ

π§ͺβ¨ STEM Day Fun with Oobleck! β¨π§ͺ Today during our PA Day STEM Day, the Senior schoolagers had a fantastic time exploring science by making Oobleck! This hands-on STEM activity gave the children an opportunity to experiment, investigate, and discover how materials can behave in surprising ways.
The children were fascinated by the unique texture of Oobleck and enjoyed observing how it could act like both a liquid and a solid. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and wonderful conversations as they explored and learned together.
We love providing opportunities for children to engage in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity. It was a fun-filled day of scientific discovery!

We are so happy to share some exciting news with our families! Mr. Charlie has officially graduated from the Teachers College at the University of Windsor. This is a wonderful achievement, and we are incredibly proud of all the hard work, dedication, and commitment he has shown throughout his educational journey. Mr. Charlie brings so much enthusiasm, kindness, and passion to our child care centre, and we know these qualities will continue to help him succeed in the future.
