🌟TONIGHT!🌟Bridging the Gap Parent Information Session:

Thursday, May 14 6:30-8:30pm at WC Miller Collegiate

Val Caldwell is coming to Altona for an evening Parent session and the following day to present to students at WC Miller and Parkside about Technology & Social Media.

With 17 years of experience specializing in educating youth and adults about the hidden dangers of technology and social media, Val Caldwell delivers a high-energy presentation that is informative, inspirational, and charismatic. With a passion for fostering meaningful connections, she creates engaging spaces for learning and conversations. Her compelling presentations resonate with audiences of all ages, inspiring them to recognize and address the challenges youth face in today’s digital landscape. Having spoken to thousands of youth across Manitoba and Saskatchewan along with countless parents, caregivers, and professionals, Val’s unwavering commitment makes her a vital voice in our community.

The ‘Bridging the Gap’ parent presentation will include:
-Overview of key concerns related to youth use of technology and social media
-Insight into platforms youth and offenders commonly access (e.g., Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok)
-Practical guidance on protecting young people in digital environments
-Strategies to recognize and prevent hidden forms of child and youth sexual exploitation
-Exploration of sexual exploitation and how devices (smartphones, internet) contribute to risk

What a successful Cleanathon! 🌎🧹

Our students spent the afternoon scouring the town, picking up garbage and helping keep our community clean and beautiful. We are so proud of their hard work, teamwork, and community spirit! 👏
