A Great learning experience with Volunteer Manitoba!

What challenge or opportunity led you to reach out to us?
Nina: For some time, our organization struggled with how to effectively use social media and other communication tools to raise awareness about who we are, what we do, and the impact of our programs. We were also looking for ways to better engage families, increase participation in our programs, and attract potential donors. We knew we needed guidance that was tailored to the unique realities of our organization.
Volunteer Manitoba provided exactly that. They took the time to understand our specific needs and connected us with Buffy Davey, who was an exceptional fit for our organization. Her experience working with non-profits, combined with her understanding of family-focused programming, allowed her to quickly understand our challenges and help us develop practical, meaningful solutions.

What impact do you think investing in staff development has on your organization as a whole?

Nina: Investing in staff development has had a significant positive impact on our organization. The training has helped us create more engaging and professional communications, strengthen our social media presence, and develop clear, consistent messaging about our mission and programs.

Beyond the practical skills gained, the training increased our team's confidence in communicating with families, community members, and potential donors. As a result, we are better equipped to raise awareness of our organization and build stronger connections within our community."
