FOR FAMILIES of 2026 Graduates
General notes about Commencement:
Gym doors will open for seating at 10:00 am. The ceremony starts at 11:00 am sharp. Graduates, donors, staff and presenters have reserved seating at the front.
If a parent or sibling has mobility issues and requires special seating, please let Mrs. Kristine Pettipas know. [email protected]
This is a very large graduating class. We ask that families are mindful of the limited seating and, as much as possible, only immediate family attend. Extended family and friends can watch a live feed on our page.
Students will be called up to the stage in groups for both awards and diplomas. Parents are welcome to come close to the stage to take pictures of their students when their student's award group is called. We will also have a staff member taking photos the event and these photos will be available on Facebook following the event.
Students will return to the Learning Commons following the ceremony to sign for their diplomas and pick up monetary awards.
There will be refreshments for students and families in our Learning Commons following the ceremony as well. All are welcome!
IMPORTANT: Students who earn awards valued at $500.00 or more MUST confidentially provide their SIN numbers for tax purposes before receiving their cheques. This is UCDSB policy. All students should bring their SIN numbers as the award recipients are very diverse. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Swrjeski or Mr. Dalgity.
The school building will be closed all summer due to construction as of the end of the day on June 26th. Accessing your awards after Commencement day will be difficult. Office staff will be working out of Naismith Memorial Public School if follow up is required.
