You may have noticed we're getting some work done! 🌳Trees are being trimmed on the property edge and a new fence is being installed. Once complete, our school yard will be completely fenced! Don't worry, there will still be a gate to access the community pathway. We hope everyone is enjoying their summer break! 🌞

Healthy Soil, Big Discoveries!
Today Mrs. Reid's (Ferguson/Gallina) class dug up the underwear they buried earlier this spring, and the students were amazed by what they found. Their reactions were priceless — lots of “Whoa!”, “No way!”, and “Look at THAT!” The amount of decomposition showed just how healthy the soil is here at Naismith School. There were lots of excited reactions, curious questions, and proud smiles as the children explored the results of their experiment.
This hands‑on activity was a wonderful way to wrap up our year of learning — a reminder that science is all around us, even beneath our feet. The students showed such enthusiasm, teamwork, and curiosity, and it was a joy to watch them make real‑world connections.
As we head into summer, your child may enjoy continuing their exploration of the natural world. Simple activities like nature scavenger hunts, gardening, or outdoor science observations can keep their sense of wonder growing all season long.
We’re so proud of all the learning and discovery that happened this year. What a memorable way to end our time together.
