We’re excited to welcome our new Gaels to GDHS! As part of helping our incoming Grade 7, New to Gr. 8 and Grade 9 students transition smoothly into the new school year, we’ll be hosting a Welcome Day.

Date: Wednesday, August 26
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: GDHS – Main Entrance

Students will take part in fun and engaging activities designed to help them feel confident and connected as they begin the year.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up:
Please drop off your child at the front of the school (near the main entrance) at 10:00 a.m.
Pick-up will be at the same location at 12:00 p.m.

A pizza lunch will be provided for all participants.

We look forward to meeting our newest Gaels and helping them get off to a great start!

🚌 Back-to-School Busing Information 🚌

Families, please note:

🚫 Bus drivers will not be calling with route information.

✅ Beginning July 27, 2026, visit STEO's Parent Portal to access:
✔️ Route number
✔️ Pick-up and drop-off times and locations
✔️ Bus operator contact information
✔️ Bus delay and cancellation notifications

📧 Important: The email address used for your Parent Portal account must match the email address on file with the school.

🆔 You'll also need your child's Ontario Education Number (OEN #), which can be found on report cards. The OEN remains the same throughout a student's Ontario education.

🔄 Bus routes may be updated throughout the summer, so please check back regularly before the start of the school year.

Students are welcome! We’re happy to confirm volunteer hours for school requirements. Those under 18 will be paired with an adult.
