Angel of the Morning and Wild Thing made him money and they are great songs but he has so many others that are interesting and provoking. His last album has some very powerful songs - and his deep raw voice is beautiful. When you have a quiet moment check out “Why Didn’t I Think of That Before”.

Yesterday we lost an American songwriting giant. Chip Taylor taught me so much about the magic and the mystery of a good song. He encouraged me to use my voice in addition to the violin which changed my musical trajectory forever. He was an incredible mentor and a friend. It’s good to laugh

This is so beautiful. As successful as he was (some good success mixed with a lot of hard work and lean times) he was still very real and vulnerable. I’ve never heard this rendition of his most successful song but I love it!
