On behalf of the entire St. Patrick’s community, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mia Tan on being selected as the new DCDSB 2026–2028 Student Trustee.

As a proud St. Patrick’s alumna and current student at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School, this is an incredible accomplishment and a true reflection of Mia’s hard work, dedication, leadership, and commitment to student voice within the school community. Being elected for this important role by the student senate is a tremendous honour.

We are so proud to see one of our former students achieving such amazing success and representing students across the Durham Catholic District School Board.

Congratulations to Melissa Gracias who was recognized this week as the St. Patrick Distinguished Catholic Volunteer of the Year. Sincere thanks to Melissa, one of our School Council Co-chairs, for her outstanding volunteer contributions to our school community!

We are excited to introduce a new spin on Wellness Wednesdays at St. Patrick School! Each week, our student mental‑health group, the Positive Pythons, will be leading the Wellness Wednesday announcements to help highlight meaningful messages about mental health and well‑being.

Additionally, every Wellness Wednesday, students and staff are encouraged to wear school spirit wear and/or the colour green to show school pride, unity, and support for one another’s well‑being. Wearing green helps create a positive feeling of belonging and reminds us that we are one caring school family.

At the February 23, 2026, Regular Board Meeting, trustees recognized Joshua C., the winner of the Durham Catholic District School Board Pink Shirt Day T-Shirt Design Contest. Joshua, a Grade 6 student from St. Isaac Jogues Catholic School, was celebrated for his creativity and meaningful contribution to this year’s initiative.
