****Changes at the school starting on Monday February 27th**** Please take the time to read the email that was sent out today from the school.

A convenient summary of our Kiss and Ride process is as follows:

1. Use the Kiss and Ride on Thackery Drive instead of the Williamson Road parking lot and entrance/exit. The Williamson Road parking lot is reserved for staff.

2. No left turns into the Kiss-and-Ride. Parents who live to the north and east of the school are encouraged to access Thackery Drive from Salem Road rather than using the side streets to turn around.

3. No stopping or U-Turns in front of the school.

4. Have your child enter and exit the car from the curb side of the
loop (exit from the RIGHT side of the car. ALL the children in the
vehicle MUST exit from the PASSENGER SIDE). Students should only exit on the sidewalk area of the kiss and ride loop.

5. Do not park in front of the fire hydrant on the street.
If you are able to walk your children to school, it is not just a healthier option as it alleviates traffic congestion.

Don't forget this Thursday is Meet the Teacher Night! Come meet your child's teacher and purchase a funnel cake from Funtastic Funnel Cakes!

09/05/2022

We hope that you have had a wonderful summer!!! We are so excited for the school year to begin!!
A few reminders for tomorrow.....

Kiss n Ride is through the Thackery Drive entrance and there is absolutely NO PARKING while you are in the lane. Parking in the Kiss n Ride makes things extremely unsafe if kids are going between the cars. There will be staff in the Kiss N Ride to make sure that your child gets to where they need to go.

The entrance on Williamson is strictly for busses and staff parking.

Make sure to check EDSBY for communications with your child's teacher.

Have a fantastic evening with your families and we look forward to seeing you at the Meet the Teacher night and the Parent Council meeting! Your voice is important.

Wow!!! Those summer months just flew by!!! We are so excited for the upcoming year! Our meet the teacher night is on September 15th and our Parent Council night is September 20th. We hope to see you there!

Our new Principal Ms. Babb has sent out a welcoming What’s Up Wednesday news letter! Make sure to check it out! There is one correction, the letter states that grades 1-8 will begin on Tuesday September 6th but it is SK-8 that begins on Tuesday and JK’s will have a staggered start.

Make sure to check your email and EDSBY for any updates and messages.

Have a great rest of your summer!
