Occupational Therapy (OT) services are coming to PSTC this fall, with services offered from Progressive Life Centre in Ajax.

We’re currently recruiting an Occupational Therapist to join our team. The specific services, assessment options, session structure and fees will be developed in collaboration with the OT who joins us.

Potential areas of OT support may include sensory needs, daily living and independence skills, executive functioning, fine and gross motor skills, feeding and mealtime participation, school and community participation, employment skills, environmental accommodations and caregiver consultation.

If you may be interested in OT services, please complete our OT Interest & Waiting List. This doesn’t commit you to services. It will help us understand what families are looking for as we develop the program.

Today we had the opportunity to train the amazing coaches at B360 on neurodiversity-informed coaching.

This was such an engaged, thoughtful, and enthusiastic group of coaches who are clearly committed to creating inclusive sport experiences where autistic athletes can build skills, confidence, and a love of the game.

We’re excited to support B360 in helping more athletes thrive both on and off the field. ⚾️

⚾️ BUILD CONFIDENCE THIS SUMMER WITH BASEBALL! ⚾️

We’re excited to partner with B360 to offer a fun and supportive Baseball Skills Program for children ages 8–12!

Whether your child is new to baseball or looking to build on existing skills, this program focuses on more than just the game. Participants will have opportunities to develop:

✅ Throwing, fielding, and batting skills
✅ Teamwork and sportsmanship
✅ Confidence and independence
✅ Following instructions and participating in a group setting
✅ Physical activity in a positive, encouraging environment

B360’s experienced baseball coach leads the on-field instruction, while Progressive Steps staff provide additional support to help participants be successful and engaged.

Progressive Steps is exploring a potential sport development partnership with .ajax a new athletic training facility opening next door to Progressive Life Centre.

Together, we’re looking at inclusive sport development programs that may include:

Learn to Skate
Hockey Skills
Soccer Skills
Baseball / Batting
Golf Skills
Fitness Development
and more based on family interest!

Programs would be supervised by a Registered Behaviour Analyst and will be eligible for reimbursement through Ontario Autism Program funding.

We want to hear from families as we explore what programs would be most meaningful.
