From egg to chick 🐣

Over the past few weeks, Ms. Merrick and Ms. Tomais’ students had the incredible opportunity to hatch chickens right in their classroom! From Day 1 to Day 21, they carefully observed the eggs, learning about the delicate and fascinating process of life growing inside.

The excitement reached a whole new level when they finally watched them hatch! 🐥

Students spent the following week nurturing and caring for them—learning responsibility, empathy, and respect for living things along the way.  The chicks joined the students in every aspect of the Kindergarten Program, from comparing, measuring and weighing, to drawing and writing, to building and S.T.E.M.!

This hands-on experience brought science to life in the most memorable way. We are so proud of our students for their curiosity, kindness, and dedication throughout this special journey! Stay posted for updates on the growing chicks as they continue their visits to the classroom over the coming weeks.
