Why Wildcraft with Kids?
Kids naturally take to the woods. They love discovering plants, even more so when they learn to identify the plants and use them as both food, teas and medicine.
I try not to “teach” too directly when I’m out with my kids; instead, I spend time showing and doing. They often pick up knowledge quickly and often become inquisitive about the plants growing around us. Especially when they are able to try them in something we have made. Like a wonderful tea and care is taken to remove only what is needed for that tea.

There is growing evidence that children are increasingly disconnected from the natural world. Without direct experiences in nature, research findings suggest that children are missing opportunities to enhance their health and well-being, and to develop responsible long-term environmental behaviour.
During these tough times more students are doing online learning which means more screen time.
Kids need to be out and experience the beauty of each season and embrace its healing power for the mind.

During these uncertain times, kids need to be able to have time to unwind in nature. Nature heals the soul. Check out Getting in Focus Outdoor Nature Program.

They may prefer to stick to their screens, but here's why getting children outdoors matters - spending time in nature for mental health.
