As our seniors head into finals and diploma exams, it’s the perfect time to celebrate how high school lets students discover their true passions. For one brilliant senior, Ariana Morgan, that spark came from science, specifically Physics! She even plans on pursuing a post-secondary education studying Physics after high school. Ariana has proven she has incredible potential and kinetic energy, and we know she’s going to be an absolute force in the STEM world.
If you didn't know, physics is the blueprint of the universe, opening doors to careers in engineering, robotics, and medical tech. It’s also incredibly relevant to the skilled trades, giving students a massive competitive edge in advanced mechanics and electrical work. In Physics 20, students explore the tangible world through kinematics, dynamics, and gravitation (where they learn that friction isn't just a mood, it’s a literal law!). Physics 30 takes it a step further into electric fields, the nature of light, and atomic physics, proving that while high school changes, momentum is always conserved!
Inspired by Ariana’s journey to unlock the secrets of the universe? Sign up for Physics 20 next year! It’s the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself and build elite problem-solving skills.
Best of luck to Ariana and all our seniors on their diploma exams!! Remember, never trust an atom... they make up everything! Congratulations, Ariana on your graduation! You are accelerating into an incredible future and we think you are a force to be reckoned with! 🌌🔬

What a spectacular day of music in our community! 🎶✨
Today, Brenda Johnson and her Village Voices Choir and music students took the stage for their year-end performances, and "outstanding" doesn't even begin to cover it. From the afternoon showcase to the evening performance, the dedication and talent on display was truly incredible.
Students, ranging from preschool all the way to adults, (including our very own talented PAC president, Katy Northcott!), shared their gifts with us. While there are far too many talented performers to name individually, every single piano solo, vocal duet, and powerful choir piece completely blew us away.
Beyond the beautiful melodies, being part of a musical program like this does so much more than teach notes on a page. Stepping up to a microphone or sitting down at a piano builds a deep, quiet confidence and sharpens focus. It teaches the true value of discipline and long-term dedication, while fostering the kind of poise and courage that serves students across every area of their academic and personal lives.
If you missed this afternoon's matinee, you can still catch the evening performance starting at 7PM at Acme United Church. We highly recommend this as a beautiful way to wrap up your weekend!
We are so incredibly fortunate to have an absolute gem like Brenda Johnson and the Village Voices right here in Acme. Thank you, Brenda, for enriching our community with harmony, passion, and mentorship.
Congratulations to all the performers on a phenomenal year! 🎹🎤👏 We're so very proud of all of you!

Big congratulations are in order today for Zoe Walls, one of our incredible Grade 11 students! Today, she officially graduated with Honours from Olds College with her Veterinary Technical Assistant Certificate! Even more impressive is that she completed this full certificate program all while balancing her high school courses here at Acme School. Through the Dual Credit program, she earned credits toward both her high school diploma and her post-secondary certificate simultaneously. Taking on college-level coursework in high school is no small feat, and finishing this demanding program with honours is an outstanding achievement. We could not be prouder of her hard work, dedication, and resilience! 🌟
This is a highly rigorous, fast-paced program that prepares students for the fast-moving world of veterinary medicine. It requires a challenging blend of advanced academics and hands-on technical skills. Throughout their time in the program, students dive deep into veterinary clinical procedures and daily clinic operations, while mastering the safe, compassionate care and handling of diverse animals. They also gain a foundational understanding of medical terminology and animal anatomy, alongside learning how to manage laboratory work, prepare surgical equipment, and assist veterinary medical teams.
It takes an immense amount of discipline to succeed in such a comprehensive program, and to do so with honours as a high school junior is truly exceptional. Please join us in the comments in congratulating Zoe on this massive milestone! We can’t wait to see where your passion for animal care takes you next! 👏👏❤️

Huge congratulations to Grade 11 student Bree Rempfer on an incredibly successful weekend at the recent 4-H On Parade (4HOP) show! Bree brought home some phenomenal honors, capturing Grand Champion Yearling Ewe, Reserve Champion Flock, and Reserve Champion Supreme Breeding Ewe.
While the banners and ribbons look fantastic in the winner's circle, these results are the product of months of relentless, behind-the-scenes dedication. Preparing sheep for a major 4-H Alberta show is a massive commitment. Long before show day, Bree has been up early managing daily feeding schedules, monitoring nutrition, exercising her animals, and practicing showmanship. On top of that, "fitting" livestock requires meticulous grooming, washing, and shearing to present the animals at their absolute best.
What makes 4-H achievements so special is that they build incredible life skills outside the arena too. All year long, Bree has practiced meticulous project record-keeping, honed her communication skills for judging interviews, and developed strong leadership and meeting management habits within her club.
Bree’s incredible results are a direct reflection of her work ethic, organization, and passion. We are so proud to have her representing our school community! Way to go, Bree! 👏👏
