One of preschool children’s favorite activities:

Messy play is essential in early childhood.
It allows children to explore freely through their senses, strengthening their natural curiosity and creativity.

Learning can look a little bit different in the infant and toddler classroom.
At Taiyo we created an interactive table for the infants and toddlers to celebrate Earth Day with. We even incorporated art the children created themselves. This allows the children to engage and learn through play, on their own terms and at their own pace.

In the dramatic play kitchen area, children enjoy some of their favorite experiences. There, they play family or restaurant, taking on roles and creating imaginative stories.

Through this type of play, they develop language, social skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities, while gaining a better understanding of the world around them. It is truly a space where learning and play go hand in hand.

Volunteers Needed!

Taiyo is participating in the the Alberta Highway Clean-Up Fundraiser on Saturday, May 2nd and looking for volunteers to help!

We will be cleaning Highway 575 between the Acme Golf Course and Highway 21, meeting at Taiyo at 8:30AM. The money we earn from this fundraiser goes straight into our classrooms to support the children of Taiyo with the purchase of art materials, supplies and toys.
