Some great check ins and reminders if you’re feeling anxious

Comment FREE RESET if you want the link to this free poster and I’ll send it to you.

Sometimes anxiety shows up and kids don’t know what to do with it.

They just feel it… and then everything else gets harder.

That’s why I like having something like this posted.

It gives them a quiet way to reset.

Not a big lesson.
Not a whole conversation.

Just simple reminders like:
focus on what you can control
take a few slow breaths
be a little kinder to yourself

It helps take that big feeling and make it feel a little more manageable.

I’ve found that when kids have something they can look at and use, they’re more likely to actually try it.

If you want a free, simple way to support students when anxiety shows up, this is an easy one to add to your space.

Comment FREE RESET and I’ll send you the link.

🎬💙 CalmDad Sensory-Friendly Movie Night 💙🎬

We are excited to announce that CalmDad, in partnership with C&J Company, is working on creating a special sensory-friendly movie experience for autistic families at Cineplex Abbotsford.

For many autistic children, going to the movies can feel overwhelming because of loud sounds, crowds, bright lights, and the pressure to sit still. Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where children can simply be themselves.

✨ Entire theater reserved for families
✨ Sensory-friendly environment
✨ Space to move around and regulate
✨ Siblings welcome
✨ Designed to help families feel comfortable and included
✨ Free admission for families to attend

This event is about more than just a movie night. It’s about helping autistic children and their families feel safe getting out into the community, building acceptance, and creating positive experiences without fear of judgment.

We are hoping this can become something even bigger in the future, possibly inspiring sensory-friendly movie events across Canada. 🍿💙

If your family would be interested in attending, please contact us to register:

Chilliwack Minor Ball Hockey is proud to partner with Little Heroes Hockey Academy to bring an inclusive ball hockey experience to our community.

This program is designed specifically for children with developmental delays, creating a safe, supportive space where every child has the opportunity to participate, build confidence, and enjoy the game of ball hockey.

Together, our goal is simple: inclusion.

We believe every child deserves the chance to play, feel part of a team, and be celebrated for who they are.

Join us at the Chilliwack Curling Club on Sunday, April 19th from 10:00–11:00am, for a Try-it Information session.

Through this partnership, we’re breaking down barriers and making ball hockey accessible for all—because the game is better when everyone is included.

Please sign this petition…

A revised petition on the new CYSN model is here—because every child matters, and every voice must be heard.

This petition reflects the collective voice of parents, caregivers, service providers, educators, and community members who are deeply concerned about the impact of the CYSN changes.

An earlier version of this petition helped raise awareness across the province - collecting over 15,000 signatures; however, in order for it to be formally accepted and tabled in the Legislative Assembly, the wording and structure have been carefully revised to meet legislative requirements.

Important Note: In British Columbia, electronic petitions cannot be formally tabled in the Legislature. However, your support on this version plays a critical role in demonstrating widespread community backing. This electronic petition will accompany the official paper petition containing valid signatures. Both versions are identical in wording.
