Generally, we are closed on long weekends, but since we have staff working during Skipping Championships were able to have the Summit Fitness Centre open from 8 AM to 8 PM on Victoria Day - Monday, May 18.

🏐 Summer Organized Drop-In Volleyball starts Monday, May 25! 🏐
We’re excited to share that we are organizing drop-in volleyball this summer! ☀️
Join our Rec Staff for a fun, welcoming, and structured volleyball experience every:

No session on June 8 or stat. holidays. Schedule is subject to changs so be sure to check the portal regularly.
Whether you’re looking to stay active, improve your game, or just have a great time with friends, this is the perfect way to get involved. All skill levels are welcome!

UFV Campus Recreation is looking for a Multimedia & Engagement Assistant to help bring our programs to life through creative content, photography, video, and social media.
This role is a great fit for a creative, organized UFV student who enjoys storytelling, digital media, and promoting active living on campus. You’ll help design promotional materials, capture photo/video content at recreation events, create digital content, help develop our newsletters, and contribute to our Instagram and Facebook presence.
What you’ll get:
✨ Hands-on experience in multimedia production and digital marketing
✨ Flexible hours, mainly late afternoons/evenings Monday–Thursday
✨ Spring/Summer start with potential extension as a Work Study position in the Fall
✨ Pay of $18.25/hour + 10% vacation pay and statutory holidays
Who can apply?
UFV students who are enrolled full-time (minimum 9 credits, or 6 credits for students registered with CAS) and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. Strong communication, organization, creativity, and an interest in health and wellness are all assets.

Open Gym hours are now scheduled.
Couple things to be aware of:
-These hours are subject to changes. Check out the Xplor Rec portal for up to date schedule (link in bio)
-The scheduled sport has priority for the space. If no participants are present or actively using the space, staff may open it for another sport until the scheduled sport participants arrives.
-All students must have a Peak Pass Membership or pay a drop-in rate. If you don’t have your student card, you may be charged the Guest rate.
-All non UFV participants must attend with a UFV student or employee
-All Guests must be a minimum age of 17, unless accompanied by a parent.
-If under 17 years of age a waiver must be signed by a parent before participating (email campusrec @ UFV.ca for waiver)

Do you need a break from studying? Since exams are not being held in the gym this semester, we’re inviting students to drop in and play badminton as a fun way to take a break, get active, and clear your head.
Same rules and guidelines apply as regular drop‑in badminton during the semester:
- You will need your UFV campus card
- Have a Peak Pass membership or purchase a day pass.
- Athletic footwear is required
