Ketogenic Diet Therapy (KDT) is a medically supervised nutrition treatment that may help reduce seizures for some people living with epilepsy, particularly those with drug-resistant epilepsy.

Unlike popular “keto diets,” medical ketogenic therapy is carefully planned, monitored, and supported by a neurology team and registered dietitian to ensure safety and effectiveness.

While it is not a cure, KDT can be an important part of a broader epilepsy management plan for some individuals.

At ESEBC, we encourage informed conversations and collaboration with healthcare professionals when exploring treatment options. 💜 Visit esebc.ca for more information and resources.

More people than ever are searching online for answers about epilepsy and seizures. While information can be helpful, sometimes what people really need is connection, understanding, and the chance to speak with someone who gets it. 💜

At ESEBC, our One-to-One Support and Epilepsy Connect programs offer supportive spaces to ask questions, share experiences, and connect with real people.

You don’t have to navigate epilepsy alone.

You are more than epilepsy. 💜

Epilepsy is part of your life, but it does not define your limits, your potential, or who you are as a person. Every journey is different, and every experience deserves understanding, respect, and support.

At ESEBC, we are here to support people living with epilepsy and seizures, along with the families and communities who walk alongside them.
