Demonstrating a method that can be used to mitigate blade sailing during startup in high winds.
Having a crew member hold onto the blades during startup keeps them stable while the engine spools up. Once released they accelerate faster and minimises the time spent spinning at a low rpm. Helping to prevent possible damage to the aircraft or rotor system.
