Hello Bateman families,

We have decided to transition this page to a group. This change will improve communications and facilitate the sharing of information, particularly regarding our PAC meeting agendas and minutes. Our goal is to ensure all parents and guardians are well-informed and able to participate as they wish.

We will be having our first PAC meeting of the year on Wednesday October 4,2023 at 7pm in the learning commons ( library). Please join us as we say goodbye to Tanya P ( last years chair- her son is graduating this year) and welcome our new PAC chair Kristy B. !

“We're excited to invite you to our 'Meet the Teacher Night' at Robert Bateman Secondary on Thursday, September 21st. Here's what you can expect:

5:00 PM - Welcome in the Gym: Arrive a few minutes early to pick up a map and enjoy a treat.
5:15 PM - Open House to Meet Staff: Bring your child along so they can show you around and introduce you to their teachers. We'll have helpful Leadership students throughout the building to guide you.
6:30 PM - Grad Parent Meeting: Our administration will provide valuable information about graduation requirements, scholarship contacts, and upcoming grad events.
Please remember that the goal of Meet the Teacher Night is to connect with teachers and explore your child's learning environment. Our teachers won't have time for individual discussions about student progress during this event. You are always welcome to reach out to your child's teacher to discuss their progress at any time.

Friday September 22 is our first SLO (staff learning opportunity) Friday. School starts at 9:30am for students, which allows teachers time to learn, collaborate, and work on common goals. There is one SLO Friday each month. Please see this link and mark the dates for the year in your calendar.”

We are so excited to see you! School start-up this year will look a little different than usual. We are delighted to invite our incoming Grade 9 students to an orientation on Tuesday, September 5th. The first day for our Grade 10, 11 & 12 students will be Wednesday, September 6th. More details have been sent home through school messenger.

Bateman Grads! As we are saying ‘Bon Voyage’ to summer, Grad Cruise tickets are now available for purchase through School Cash Online. Come sail away with us and take in the beautiful sights of English Bay at sunset while enjoying the dinner/dance cruise. When you purchase your ticket, please also complete the attached permission form. Sales will close on Thursday, September 7th, so purchase your tickets as soon as you can. Sea you real soon!

Registration for school bus services for the 2023-24 school year closes this Friday, August 11th. Interested families can visit our Student Transportation page for registration details, school bus fees, FAQs + more.

Congratulations to our former PAC Chair. Well deserved

Congratulations to Tanya Coghill, the 2023 recipient of the Abbotsford Board of Education's Community Matters Award! 🎉 Coghill has been an active volunteer within for nearly two decades, first becoming involved in the public education system when her eldest child began kindergarten. Since then, she has supported several parent advisory council (PAC) groups and offered volunteer support across elementary, middle and secondary schools.
