🌞🛶 Team Highlight: Olivia White - Alberta Rental Operations & Program Manager 🛶🌞

If you’ve crossed paths with Olivia at Ridge, there’s a good chance she’s already helped you feel more confident on the water, more comfortable outdoors, or simply more excited to be there in the first place.

Olivia joined the Ridge team three years ago during rental season, and what started as a rental centre role quickly grew into something much bigger. Since then, she’s become an incredibly valuable part of our leadership, instructor, canoe programs/rentals, and admin team — and honestly, she knocks just about everything we throw her way out of the park.

From teaching first aid and running canoe programs to managing rental operations, Olivia brings a calm confidence and positive energy into every environment she steps into. Summer 2024 she stepped into the Rental Centre Manager role in Elk Island National Park, and this summer she’ll also be leading operations at our Sylvan Lake rental centre as it opens for the season.

One of the things we appreciate most about Olivia is how naturally she connects with people. Whether she’s helping someone into a canoe for the very first time, running a program, or jumping in wherever needed behind the scenes, she brings patience, adaptability, and a genuine love for what she does.

And truthfully… it’s hard not to love someone whose job philosophy includes being outside all day and achieving what she proudly refers to as “the rental centre tan.” 😄☀️

Outside of work, Olivia can usually be found hiking, paddling, camping with friends, or surviving Alberta winters curled up inside with a book from her never-ending collection. She’s constantly learning, always willing to take on new challenges, and has become such an important part of the Ridge community in a very short amount of time.

We’re incredibly grateful for the energy, care, and versatility Olivia brings to the team. She’s the kind of person who makes programs stronger, teams better, and long summer days a whole lot more fun.
