I was born and educated in Amman, Jordan. Even as a child I was fascinated by what I saw around me:
colours, flowers, shapes, textures. From the smallest details in a petal to sky-wide patterns in the
clouds. Beyond drawing and painting, I was intrigued by design in architecture, furniture and fashion. Then, in 1987, I left behind the world I knew to have my eyes opened to a completely different world in
Canada. Wide-open spaces, abundant greenery, flowers, lakes, streams and oceans became fresh, new
inspirations. Though delayed and repeatedly put aside, my dream of being a full-time artist remained alive and in
1999 I made the brave (and somewhat scary) commitment to practice my art and design full-time. I am inspired by beauty wherever I see it. I do my best to capture that fragile beauty by using various
techniques of realism and abstraction, applying acrylics and mediums to create the final artwork that

The right brush can save you hours of building texture.

I combine two or three steps into one by loading this type of brush with paint then unloading it in a particular way that blends acrylics like oils.

Dabbing lightly instead of a fully loaded strokes can help with more realistic looking clouds.
