Dr. Rita Dhungel, Assistant Professor, School of Social Work and Human Services, organized and presented the findings of her study on women living with HIV in Nepal, as well as immigrants and refugees living with HIV in Alberta. The presentation was followed by a Photovoice exhibition as part of the World AIDS Day observance on November 29th. World AIDS Day is an international day dedicated to raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and fostering global solidarity. This event honored the women who shared their narratives, in collaboration with the UBC School of Social Work, the UFV School of Social Work, and the UBC Centre for Migration Studies.
