The SHJC Natural Resource Management and General Studies students extend their sincere thanks to the Belize Solid Waste Management Authority for taking the time to host and educate us during our recent visit.
Students had the valuable opportunity to learn how the separation facility operates and gain insight into the design, management, and function of the sanitary landfill. Experiences like these help bridge classroom learning with real-world environmental management practices.

ππ« A Dream Realized β JC Pavilion Inauguration π«π
Yesterday, March 10th, was a truly special day for Sacred Heart Junior College as we celebrated the inauguration of our long-awaited JC Pavilion. What began years ago as a vision has finally become a reality!
Through funds raised by the Business Department and the generous support from the 2024 SHC Inc. Alumni Gala, this project was successfully completed. The new pavilion will now serve as a vibrant space for learning, gathering, and student interaction at the Junior College.
The ceremony included a blessing by Fr. Jordan Gongora, a motivational speech by SHJC alumna Ms. Jasmin Armstrong, and the ribbon cutting by our student, Ms. Wendy Chip, marking the official opening of this wonderful addition to our campus.
A heartfelt thank you to the Board of Governors, administrators, faculty and staff, students, invited guests, alumni, and clergy who joined us to celebrate this milestone.
Together, we continue to build spaces that inspire learning, community, and the future of Sacred Heart Junior College.
