Raymond Sheppard Nazarene School

Raymond Sheppard Nazarene School For several years he had been dissatisfied with the quality of education that his children were receiving in this community. These persons are: Mr. Mrs.

The Roaring Creek Nazarene School was born out of the desire of the late Brother Raymond Sheppard Senior to have his children receive a sound Christian Education. He longed for the village to have a Christian Educational Institution where not only his children but all believers could send their children to be educated and where they would be free to practice and grow in their faith without fear of victimization and discrimination. On January 11th, 1972 the Roaring Creek Nazarene School was established. At that time, it was a Two (2) teacher Multi-Grade School with an enrolment of 60 students spreading from Infant One to standard Six. All the classes were housed in one building with blackboard partitions in between certain grade levels. The first principal of the school was Mrs. Naomi Hemmans and Reverend Archibald Gillett was the only other member of staff. Several other teachers have served as principals over the years. Lindsey Borland, Reverend Archibald Gillett, Mrs. Deborah Terry, Mrs. Margaret Peters, Mrs. Joan Casanova, Mr. Clifford Casey, Mrs. Ruby Harris, Pastor Valdez, Mrs. Maria Hutchinson, Ms. Terresita Canto and Mrs. Elisa Seguro. Sharon Jones who took office in September 2013 is the current principal of the School.
