The drought is taking a tow on the bee industry
The Doubloon second largest water shed have almost completely dry up. I have a couple apiaries around this area and bees are showing physiogical stress bees adult population has dwingle and now the brood started to die. These apiaries are completely expose to sunlight to reduce the incidences og small hive beetle. Its has surely work but now the dry spell and heat affecting us.

2019 begun dry though we did got the amount of precipitation the accumalative amount still in deficit. As most beekeepers can tell you poor rain during the wet season mean a low production so beekeepers let hurry build our colonies with supplemental energetic and proteine . This will help to have a strong army to collect availabke nectar before the main dry seaso. Arrage in your apiaries a source of continous fresh water.
