This morning, I had the privilege of serving as the Guest Speaker for the 2026 Graduation Ceremony of Alvin L. Young Nazarene High School and my heart is filled with gratitude.
Thank you to the administration for the invitation and for allowing me to be part of such a meaningful milestone in the lives of these remarkable young men and women.
As I looked at the graduates, I saw more than caps and gowns. I saw resilience, growth, dreams and countless stories of perseverance. I saw young people standing at the threshold of a new chapter, ready to discover who they are and who they are becoming.
I also saw proud families, teachers, mentors and friends who have walked alongside them, encouraging them every step of the way. No one reaches a milestone like this alone.
As a mother, this ceremony held a special place in my heart. Watching these graduates celebrate their accomplishments reminded me that behind every diploma is a journey filled with effort, challenges, lessons and unwavering support from those who believe in us.
To the Class of 2026, congratulations. Continue to dream boldly, work diligently and never underestimate the power of education, character and purpose. Your future is full of possibilities.
