So as punishment for being naughty today, I took away Mayahs tablet. Ofcourse there was a LOT of crying. As hard as it was seeing my child unhappy , I stuck it out. Eventually she stopped crying and redirected herself to playing with toys in her room, reading books in bed and drawing / coloring. Had to snap a quick video of her "reading" 😁 ok so more like reciting a book she memorized 😆 After some hours of screen free activities and a "Mayah sorry" she did eventually get it back 😊

The secret to Mayahs musical skills revealed 😃. I have often been asked if Mayah has had musical lessons because she has a keen interest in instruments especially the piano. I was shocked myself wondering how she learned to play a lot of different nursry rhymes. So today I noticed this app that she found and downloaded on her own. It teaches songs by letter and color notes. So I guess the big secret to Mayahs musical talents is that she uses her super power memory to learn the notes of a song from this free app and then practices on her own. 😁 When she is in a good show and tell mood, she holds Lil mini concerts for us. 🥳
