Galen University is pleased to announce that applications for the MoECST–Galen Scholarships are now open! 🎓🇧🇿

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology (MoECST), Galen University is offering five (5) tuition scholarships to eligible Belizean students pursuing undergraduate studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must:
• Be a resident of Belize.
• Have successfully completed an Associate Degree from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Demonstrate financial need.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
• Be enrolled at Galen University in their 3rd year in an eligible STEM programme.
• Be willing to fulfill the scholarship programme’s community service requirements.

Eligible Galen University Programmes:

• Environmental Science
• Computer Science
• Cyber Security
• Bachelor in Secondary Education with a concentration in Math, Physics, or Computer Science Education

On Wednesday, September 16th, 2026, Galen University brought together students and alumni for a meaningful “Look at Me, I Am Belize @ 45” Panel Discussion as part of our Vigil of Independence.

Under the theme “Belize at 45 – The Role of the Youth in Belize’s Future,” our panelists shared their perspectives, experiences, and ideas on the important role young Belizeans play in shaping the future of our country.

Raising the Flag, Honoring Our Nation 🇧🇿🦅

On Wednesday, September 16th, 2026, Galen University proudly commemorated the 45th Anniversary of Belize’s Independence with our Official Flag Raising Ceremony.

With the formation of the BDF Parade, the raising of the Belizean flag, and the participation of our Galen community, we came together to honor the history, pride, and spirit of our nation.

May we continue to celebrate the Belizean values that unite us and look toward a future filled with promise and possibility.
