𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲: Create a drawing that captures the imagery from the poem. Include at least three lines from the poem that inspired your visuals and explain how your artwork reflects the mood and message.

Dear teachers,

I was deleting pictures and found the attached JEM of a BLURRY picture of my students. It made me think of how passionate I felt about teaching. I'm on a low right now.

How do I rekindle my passion when the spark feels dim?

When the lessons still get taught, the papers still get graded, the smiles still get given — but inside, I feel tired, stretched thin, a little disconnected from the calling that once lit me up.

Is it rest?
Is it connection?
Is it giving ourselves permission to be human first, teachers second?

Maybe passion doesn’t return all at once. Maybe it comes back quietly — in a small moment of laughter, a thoughtful student comment, a lesson that lands, or simply the decision to keep showing up with care.
