Today, John Maxwell exhorted and advised:

✅ “Working smarter has a higher return than working harder.

✅ Journal your time for one week and at the end of the week identify: 1. time wasters 2. things that don’t align with your priorities, 3. areas you were on target. Use that info to become intentional about how you spend your the following week.

✅ Shift to strengths: make a list of 3 or 4 things you do well, identify what percentage of your time you spend doing them and what percentage of your resources are dedicated to them, then devise a plan to dedicate 80% of your time (Pareto Principle) to strengths.

It is amazing to be in the room when the topic is growth and transformation and everyone present is of one mind regarding the pursuit of it! Of course individual growth plans vary but a common thread runs through the desire for it!

About a month ago I was a participant at a roundtable transformational journey, “Beyond Success - A Path to Significance,” a John Maxwell/EQUIP initiative.

Lesson 2 challenges us to be intentional about Personal Growth (intentional means having a plan and actively pursuing it).

To open the mind to brainstorming and developing your own growth plan the following 2 questions are offered:

1. Who do you know that exemplifies this quality?
2. What do you admire most about that person?

Just one month ago these were my answers: (she doesn’t know this yet, well, she does now 😉😅).

Q2. I admire her commitment and dedication in submitting herself to systems and process (both formal and informal) to learn whatever she needs to learn to progress to the next level. I also admire her curiosity and determination to apply herself, do what it takes, go where she needs to go.

Beyond Success underscores that transformation is a direct result of taking action.

I completed my own training 2 weeks ago facilitated by the insightful and encouraging .speaks and Marlon - I took action immediately and put the word out that I would be facilitating a roundtable and 8 leaders answered the call (6 from Belize, 1 from Barbados and 1 from the U.S.A.) 🎉

TODAY, among other things, we learned that:

✅ Your attitude is a choice you make: don’t wait for someone else to motivate you, don’t blame circumstances for the way you feel. Choosing a positive attitude makes any circumstance look better. Take control, choose your attitude.
