University of Belize Natural Resources Management student Zoe Sutherland led an all-day beach cleanup initiative in Corozal Town on April 18, in collaboration with 4th Form Tourism students from Corozal Community College and their teacher, Mrs. Cruz. 🌊♻️

Throughout the day, participants worked together to remove waste from the coastline while also taking part in an outdoor, interactive learning classroom. This space allowed for discussions and short presentations on environmental health, sustainability, and the impacts of improper waste disposal on coastal ecosystems.

By combining hands-on cleanup efforts with guided learning, the initiative created a meaningful and engaging experience that highlighted the importance of environmental responsibility and community involvement in protecting Belize’s natural resources. 🌱💙
