Official Launch of the 109th National Day Celebration of 🇹🇼 R.O.C. (Taiwan) in Belize

Dear Facebook followers,

Taiwan Embassy is proudly announcing the launch of our National Day Celebration Event today!!!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is not feasible for our Embassy to host a National Day Reception as usual. Instead, the Embassy chose to ask our Belizean friends to join us in celebrating our 109th National Day virtually on our page.

First, please follow our page, and take a photo of YOU and anything related to TAIWAN (such as a member from Taiwanese community in BZ, a dish of Taiwanese cuisine, or our national flag), then post your photo and messages below this article, tag 3 of your friends and invite them to LIKE your comment and become a follower of our page.

If you get more than 10 likes on your comment, the first 109 participants will each get a Made-in-Taiwan electronic product (value of 60 BZD) as a souvenir from the Embassy. If you fulfill all the requirements and win the prize, the Embassy will contact you for an appointment to receive your gift with details to be announced on Oct. 16th.

If you are not on the list of the first 109 winners but belong to the group of participants who are still able and willing to post photos and messages before Oct. 10th to congratulate our National Day, the Embassy will give away extra coupons for local Taiwanese restaurants up to a maximum of 100 people in addition to the first 109 winners.

Dear Parents/Guardian/Participants & Friends:
Spotlight Taiwan 2017 Taiwan Culture Exchange Program is hosting Make A Wish Water-Lantern Night & Closing Ceremony on 7th November, 2017 at Ramada Princess Swimming Pool from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

The program is sponsored by Ministry of Culture of The Republic of China (Taiwan) through the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Belize, Atlantic Bank and Ramada Princess Hotel; and partnership with Belize Department of Youth Services, NICH, Museum of Belize, Samuel Haynes Institute of Excellence, St. John’s College and University of Belize.
In the past four months we have offered many workshops and activities like showing Taiwanese film, group discussion of similarities between both Belizean and Taiwanese culture in regards of Zhongyuan Festival, teaching the Taiwanese culture and Mandarin language. Youths also learnt Chinese Calligraphy, which they used in the making of traditional water lantern.

We made over two hundred and fifty (250) water lanterns with wishes and prayers written on them, which is a common way for Taiwanese to make wishes and pray for good things to come to our country. All the water lanterns will be released into the Ramada Swimming Pool on the Water Lantern Night by 150 regional, 100 international youths, Governor-General, Sir Colville Norbert Young and Ambassador Charles K.Y. Liu. We would be honor if you would be able to attend our event and make wishes for our country.
We will prepare a Water Lantern for you to releasing into the pool.

If you are interested in attending this event, please remember to get your Pass Card from SJC Mandarin Club President or leave us a massage.(Must enter with Pass Card)

See you there ~~~
