Спасибо большое всем откликнувшимся тренерам и командам! Мы рады сообщить о том, что уже пять тренеров и три команды нашли друг друга.

Вместе с тем, мы продолжаем искать тренеров для трех команд для участия в международном мут-корте «Палата арбитров» (на русском языке):

A new moot court is a good news, a new moot court at home, in Belarus, is even better!

United Nations Commission on International Trade Law - UNCITRAL, Белорусский республиканский Союз юристов, Belarusian State University Faculty of Law and Chamber of Arbitrators - Minsk, Belarus have launched its moot court in Russian Международный студенческий конкурс "Палата арбитров - 2021".

The oral hearings are in the mixed format (online/offline) take place on 16-17 December 2021.

Deadline for registration of the teams: 5 October 2021.

It's high time to learn how the new Arbitration Rules of the Chamber of Arbitrators work in practice.

Мы рады оказать поддержку при организации вебинара "Потребительский экстремизм: правда или вымысел?", который состоится 26 августа 2021 г. в 16.00. Организаторами вебинара выступают Минская городская коллегия адвокатов и Специализированная юридическая консультация "Экономика Имущество Инвестиции".

Законодательные акты различных государств в сфере защиты прав потребителей призваны обеспечить защиту прав и свобод граждан при продаже им товаров, выполнении для них работ или оказании услуг. Требования, установленные такими актами, являются весьма жесткими, а ответственность компаний за нарушение – высокой. В последнее время все больше и больше потребителей знают о своих правах, однако некоторые из них не просто реализуют свои права, а объективно ими злоупотребляют. Мы пригласили опытных адвокатов из разных стран обсудить, существует ли такое явление, как «потребительский экстремизм», и как добросовестные компании могут ему противостоять.

We are glad to support the webinar "Consumers' Extremism: Truth or Myth?" which takes place on 26 August 2021 at 16.00. The webinar is held by the Minsk City Bar Association and Specialized legal consultancy office "Economics Property Investments".

The main aim of the consumers' protection laws in different countries is to protect the rights of the consumers when they buy goods, works and services. The requirements to the companies and their liability under those acts are strict. Nowadays, a lot of consumers know their rights. However, some of them even objectively misuse their rights. We have invited experienced attorneys from different countries to discuss if there is such thing as "consumers' extremism" and how the companies could fight it.

Thanks to the pandemic, the majority of arbitration events has gone online, and it creates a perfect opportunity to share the information, experience and learn without any borders or limitations. And because of that, there are a lot of helpful webinars- and interview series about arbitration. Therefore, we have decided to share the information about them with you. 🍿🍿🍿

Today we will tell you about a recently launched series of interviews taken by the Chamber of Arbitrators - Minsk, Belarus. The interviews are held with the Member of the Board of the Chamber which includes the leading professionals in international commercial arbitration. During the interviews, the host and the guests discuss their personal experience of building a career in international arbitration and the recent developments in international arbitration.

Today you can watch the interviews with:
- Roman Zykov, Secretary General of the Russian Arbitration Association, Managing Partner at Mansors;
- Olena Perepelynska, President of the Ukrainian Arbitration Association, Partner and Head of International Arbitration Practice in the CIS at INTEGRITES.

On 4 May 2021, the webinar “Raising the Bar: How to Become a Qualified Lawyer in Different Jurisdictions” took place. It was held with the support of the Minsk City Bar Association together with its Young Attorneys Council.

We thank our wonderful speakers for all the insights they have shared with us: Oliver Loksa (Hausmaninger Kletter); Sarah Fedida (Betto Perben Pradel Filhol); Izabella Prusskaya, (Carey Olsen); Kirill Laptev (Sorainen) and our moderator Veronika Pavlovskaya (Arzinger Attorneys). Many thanks to the participants of the webinar for being with us!

Within the webinar, we found out:
• How many questions there are in the tests required to re-qualify as a solicitor of England and Wales and how many questions there are in the list of questions to the Belarusian bar exam;
• How many years of experience are necessary to become an attorney in Austria and what is the order of gaining this experience;
• How the gown of the avocat in France looks like;
• Why the size of the trunk in your car is important,
and etc.

There is a very important issue for young lawyers, especially those interested in dispute resolution: how to become a qualified lawyer. Therefore, together with Minsk City Bar Association and Young Attorneys Council at Minsk City Bar Association, we decided to arrange a webinar about it.
