Govt must ban Khama's political meetings at Serowe kgotla

- Khama should repatriate, and take his issues to the freedom square where he met and cozied up to Masisi

Keaoleboga Dipogiso*

The correct course of action has always been, closing down the Kgotla meetings and reigning down on elements who look to contaminate our peace. For me, it'd be irresponsible for the state as the depository of social code and custodian of peace to allow a forum to hold protracted meetings where among other things civil unrest is planned. The peace of this country is more expensive than the unbeknown causes for Khama's self imposed exile and insecurity. If the Minister lets the tantrums to continue, and by chance the tranquility of our village is threatened, he would have done is great disservice. We depend on him to restore sanity and act expeditiously to avert national security threat plotted in that Kgotla. Personally, I applaud Masisi for rejecting Khama's ransom - that his uncles be met or else continued toxicity. The country cannot be thrown into social cleavages because Khama can't come back and face his former ally. Khama must repatriate, and face Masisi out in the open, in the political terrain where they met and cozied up to each other. The morafe also, must rationalize their time, why are you guys concerned about some happy-go-lucky character who never endeavoured to develop your village when he was MP. It doesn't make sense. In other countries, social cleavages are results of regional favouritism in economic planning processes, tribal subjugation and other economically substantive issues. Let's see what they will do upon the Kgotla shut down. Bangwato, in the main matrix of things here, have no issues with Masisi or the government apart from that Khama is in exile. Khama himself is accountable to his people, his absence is not a national crisis. The Kgotla must be shut down, for Khama related infractions, he himself must address them in the political front. As for the war mongers, they must go to the bush already and stop being dramatic.
