The Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) has strengthened its commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, research commercialisation and industry engagement through a new three-year partnership with AlignSure Solution (Pty) Ltd.

Formalised on 31 August 2026, the Events Management Contract Agreement will create platforms for entrepreneurs, researchers, innovators, investors, policymakers and industry leaders to connect, collaborate and turn ideas into opportunities.

For BIUST, this partnership is about more than hosting events. It is about bridging the gap between research and industry, creating opportunities for BIUST researchers and students to showcase innovations, access industry expertise and connect with potential investors and markets.

A key milestone will be the Made in Botswana Expo 2026, taking place at BIUST on 8–9 October 2026 under the theme:

“𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗪 – 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱.”

The Expo will bring together Government, academia, industry, SMEs, innovators, investors, development partners and diplomatic missions to explore opportunities in investment, local production, innovation, competitiveness and access to international markets.

As Botswana celebrates 60 years of Independence, the BIUST–AlignSure partnership contributes to a bigger national vision: building a knowledge-driven, innovative, entrepreneurial and globally competitive Botswana.

At BIUST, we believe that when knowledge meets industry, innovation meets investment, and ideas meet opportunity, meaningful impact becomes possible.
