SAFER INTERNET DAY
The Ministry of Communications and Innovations invites the public to join in celebrating Safer Internet Day 2026, an international observance dedicated to promoting safe and responsible internet use, particularly among young people. The theme for this year is βSmart Tech, Safe Choices β Exploring the Safe and Responsible Use of AI.β
In collaboration with cybersecurity industry partners, the Ministry is commemorating the day with Matlala CJSS students today, delivering key messages and engaging them on safe internet practices. The Ministry calls upon Batswana to mark this occasion by adopting and/or developing measures that ensure all youth in Botswana use internet-supported content safely and responsibly.
