At the end every road lead to academics🤞🔥. In one of my previous posts I promised to share with you a team called FMDT.
Faculties Modules Data Team, or FMDT, will be a collaborative network dedicated to providing students with educational materials for their upcoming semester modules at no cost.
Comprising students from all faculties, the FMDT members are driven by a passion for supporting their peers and enhancing the academic environment.
FMDT's responsibilities include collecting and disseminating materials such as lecture notes and past papers across all faculties, ensuring easy accessibility for students.
Additionally, FMDT members serve as mentors to student's in lower academic years, offering guidance, advice, and insights into upcoming modules, thereby aiding in their preparation and academic success.
In UB is normal that if want material for your next semester from other students in semesters ahead you must pay for it , but with FMDT each student will get the right academic tools at the right time at no charge from one semester to another. It is also disappointing not to have past papers or revision material on Library Catalogue for some modules in our University. The procedure for uploading past papers is like this, lectures are supposed to submit th papers before the librarians to be uploaded. But lecture don't do that because they want to repeat questions from year to year. But is still not working for the because some students still give their past papers to students coming.
Availability of educational resources or academic tools to students is one thing things I will prioritize upon being Minister of Academic Affairs.
