University of Botswana Economics Society Bridging The Gap Between Theory and Practice The Society was founded to bridge the gap between Economic theory and practice.

The Economics degree program failed to adequately equip students for the working world so the society was formed to be a platform on which to market the Economics degree and improve the degree for future Economics students. The society was also formed to be a vehicle through which both students and the public and private sector can work together in bringing about economic literacy and awareness in Botswana.
