REFECTORY UPDATES

As Promised, Students Are Already Employed At Refecs, 6 At Curry Pot and 3 At Morgul.
Last Week I Made a Few Proposals To Both Refecs. The First One Was To Start Giving Discount To Those Students Who Subscribe, We All Know That Buying a 6 Pack Is Cheaper Than a Bottle So Why Can’t They Give Us Discounts. The Second Proposals Was For Specials/Happy Hour(s), Fortnightly We Should Be Given Specials Like Having 2 Salads, Having Something New In The Menu (Chefs Special) etc. Thirdly, We Will Soon Have Competitions At Refecs, Competitions Like: Predict The Soccer, Food Competitions, Cooking Competitions and So Forth.
In Other News, The Tendering Process is Still On So Both Refecs Has a Limited Amount To Spend On Us Because There’s a Possibility That They Get Replaced Next Year.

INVITATION TO A STATUTORY STUDENT BODY MEETING

In accordance with the University of Botswana Statues the Student Representative Council (SRC) shall hold a statutory student body meeting on the 14th of September 2015 (Next week Monday from 17:30 to 20:30). We expect the Minister of Education Dr Unity Dow to attend the meeting,M.P for Gaborone Central Dr Butale, Gaborone City Mayor Cllr Thutwe, DTEF Director Eugene Moyo, Vice Chancellor, Fako, DVC, Academic Affairs & Student Affairs, Directors FNB & Shoppers, Dean, FET and others.

-Water crises
-Accommodation Crises
- Shortage of Lectures and cumbersome Courses/Programmes i.e Academic Crises
-Petition against the Deputy Director of Academic Affairs
-Delayment in issuing of Sponsorship and Progression
-Adoption of Student Bill of rights
-Accommodation Bill
-Allowance increment
-Fresher’s Ball
-clarity on escalation of Shoppers prices

The meeting will be held in student foyer (Block 139) and we look forward for massive attendance.
