Happy International Day of Play! 🌸🌈

As a fully play-based pre-school, we get asked a lot about where the workbooks are. And we love that question, because it gives us a chance to explain what we actually believe: that a child who spends their early years playing, exploring, creating, and imagining is not falling behind. They are leaping ahead.

At Little Einsteins, play is not what happens when the learning stops. Play is the learning. It’s how children build language, solve problems, regulate emotions, make friends, and make sense of the world around them.

Today we’re celebrating every child who learned something real through something joyful, because protecting play is protecting childhood. 💗🛝

📣 Rental spaces available in the heart of Gaborone for anyone whose work serves children and families. Here is what we are building.

This centre has held a lot of love over the years: mum and baby classes, book clubs, drama, swimming, remedial lessons, and everything in between. For 12 years, the centre has housed Little Einsteins, and for the last few years, it has been the home of Learn To Play. Our office, our training hub, the space where our Mamas gather and grow. As we prepare to close the doors of Little Einsteins next year, our commitment to creating spaces that uplift and serve children and families is not going anywhere. This is simply the next chapter.

SLV Yoga House already runs beautiful aerial and mat yoga and breathwork sessions for children and adults out of the space. The Learn To Play office and hub are here. There is a swimming pool. And there is room for so much more.

Whether you are an occupational therapist, speech therapist, swimming instructor, mindfulness practitioner, running a book club or a mummy and baby class, if your work belongs in a space like this, we’d love to have you join us in building this beautiful space.

Our first week back has been tea-rific. ☕️🌼

The children have been settling back into school, catching up with friends, exploring their classrooms and getting back into the rhythm of play and learning. 📚

With International Tea Day falling during our first week back, we thought it was the perfect reason to brew up a little fun with a themed tea party. ☕️🫖

Our End of Term Art Exhibition was a beautiful reminder of what creative, hands-on, play-based learning looks like in practice: colour, imagination, confidence, and joy in every single piece.

We are so proud of what our Little Einsteins have creative this term, and we bet the parents are too! ✨

Looks like the Easter Bunny made a very early stop… eggs were hidden, little feet were on a mission, and excitement was at an all-time high 🐰✨

The children went on their very own egg hunt, then got busy creating the cutest hats and baskets you’ve ever seen! 🧺🐣

A morning full of imagination, giggles, and just the right amount of chocolate-fuelled energy 🍫

Big school, here we come! 🎒✨

Our little ones took a very exciting field trip today: a visit to Enko Botho as part of their Big School Series!

They explored classrooms, discovered new learning spaces, and jumped into activities with all the curiosity and energy needed to take on big school!

Starting school is a big moment. And there’s nothing quite like seeing it, touching it, and experiencing it for yourself to turn the nerves into excitement. We can’t wait to see them all flourish at big school next year. 🌈

We took mindful play to new heights this week… literally! Our little ones tried aerial yoga and they were naturals! 🧘

Suspended in the air, finding their balance, breathing through the wobbles - it was joyful and calm all at once. Aerial yoga is so much more than a fun activity. It builds body awareness, focus, and confidence in the most playful way possible. And judging by the smiles, we think they’ll be asking to go back up very soon. 🥰

Our recent visit to Vision Optical was such a special experience for our Little Einsteins! The children were absolutely fascinated - from trying on the special testing frames to watching the optometrist examine their eyes with the light equipment. It was hands-on, educational, and so much fun all at once.

We are so grateful to the incredible team at Vision Optical for being so patient, warm, and engaging with our learners. You made every child feel comfortable and excited to learn! 💛

And of course… the cool goodies we walked away with made the day even more memorable! 🎁✨

Yesterday at Little Einsteins, our classrooms were full of heart-shaped smiles as our little learners dressed up for Valentine’s Day and created the sweetest handmade cards for the people they love.

Through dress-up play, crafting, and sharing kindness, our children explored friendship, creativity, and the joy of giving. Because at Little Einsteins, love is something we learn by doing ❤️
